OpenStatus

Connect OpenStatus so agents can check uptime monitors, manage status pages, and publish status reports.

Setup

1. In your OpenStatus dashboard, open Settings and navigate to API Token.
2. Create a key. It needs write access so agents can manage monitors and publish status reports.
3. Paste the key into Polylane. Polylane validates it against your workspace and connects.

Your key is encrypted before it is stored, and the agent never sees it.

Polylane provisions a webhook notification channel named polylane in OpenStatus so monitor failures, degradations, and recoveries land as alerts and get triaged as they fire. The channel is attached on the channel side, so monitors need no per-monitor setup: ones you create later are attached automatically on the next sync pass. Detaching a monitor from the channel by hand is respected, so re-attach it in OpenStatus when you want its alerts back.

What agents can do

• List monitors and check status, uptime, latency percentiles, and per-check response logs
• Create, update, and trigger monitors
• Inspect status pages, their components, and the overall public status
• Publish status reports and post updates; notifying page subscribers is off unless explicitly requested
• Schedule maintenance windows

Disconnecting

Disconnect OpenStatus in Polylane, then revoke the API key in OpenStatus.

Alert delivery lives on a webhook notification channel named polylane, attached on the channel side, so Terraform-managed monitors need nothing added: they are attached automatically on the next sync pass. Leave the polylane notification channel in place; Polylane creates and removes it with the integration.
