Honeycomb

Connect Honeycomb so agents can query your datasets and traces during investigations.

Setup

1. In Honeycomb, go to Team Settings → API Keys.
2. Select the environment that contains the data you want agents to query.
3. Create a key, or reuse one, with read permissions.
4. Choose your region (US or EU).
5. Paste the API key into Polylane.

You can connect multiple environments by adding a separate integration for each. Your key is encrypted before it is stored, and the agent never sees it.

Connecting creates a webhook recipient named polylane and subscribes every trigger to it, so trigger alerts land in Polylane and get triaged as they fire.

• Inspect traces to follow a request across services
• Check trigger statuses during investigations

Disconnecting

Disconnect Honeycomb in Polylane, then revoke the API key in Honeycomb. Disconnecting removes the polylane recipient from your triggers, so drop it from Terraform configs at the same time.

A recurring sync subscribes every trigger to the polylane recipient, so a Terraform-managed trigger shows drift until the recipient is in its Terraform config too. Look up the recipient with a data source and attach it to each trigger:

Disconnecting the integration removes the polylane recipient from your triggers, so drop it from Terraform configs at the same time.
